‘Tis the season to accentuate the positive. Consider us the extra helping your holiday tablescape needs from Thanksgiving and Christmas to Hanukkah and New Year’s Day.
Mood building for the holidays is best done with the help of a POSH place setting. From the Ginori and Mottahedeh Tobacco Leaf to Charles Sadek’s Exotic Bird, these tablescapes bring a breath of fresh air to your holiday nostalgia with a little help from unexpected accent pieces.
Charles Sadek Exotic Bird
Winner, winner, pheasant dinner. Nothing says crisp, holiday evenings around the table like the Charles Sadek Exotic Bird pattern. The first drop into fifty-degree weather and our Southern drawl and deep nostalgia for timeless tablescapes, traditional menus, and eclectic tchotchkes come right out. This tablescape works for the hostess who loves a West Texas or Santa Fe ranch as much as an alpine Aspen or wide-open Wyoming range. Terra cotta sunset hues, the heritage holiday bird atop Jan Barboglio’s iconic copper charger, and a little equestrian-style farm flair are at the heart of this trophy table. It’s sure to have you and yours passing the good gravy and spilling the wine to early Chris Stapleton in no time.
How to Stack Cheat Sheet:
Strike a balance: Mixed metals are par for the course when it comes to holiday tablescapes. The Jan Barbolgoio Hammered Copper Charger offers the perfect weight, grounding alongside a towering floral centerpiece in an antique trophy vessel. To counterbalance these strong metal elements, consider the feminine Mottahedeh Red Lace Charger and Floral Garden Dinner plate. We offer both patterns in several colors so you can easily add the perfect shade to match your desired look.
Polish it off: Individual salt cellars, Equestrian-inspired cutting horse cutlery rests, and Gold Floral Lace Demitasse glasses add an elevated touch that makes every place setting feel a little extra special, which is what we want for the holidays.
Places: The Louis Round Back Chair offers extra cushion, making it comfortable for extended table time around the table.

Mottahedeh Tobacco Leaf
Mottahedeh Tobacco Leaf has been around long enough to give us this sage advice: There’s going to be good times! Not only does this icon have true staying power with her ability to clear and reset with ease, season after season, thanks to her deep range of pastels and jewel tones. Accentuated with a phoenix bird perched on the leaves of a flowering Nicotiana plant (tobacco), this gorgeous design offers twenty-seven colors and 22K gold, making it all the merrier to find the perfect color to pull from to build your personal tablescape. Cobalt, blood orange, fuschia, pink, turquoise, and sage green call to us during the F/W season. This is the perfect heritage pattern to mix with the Mottahedeh Lace Chargers, Duchess Goblets, and Carrie Wineglass collections.
How to Stack Cheat Sheet:
Let Her Shine: Lucite Flatware instantly adds a modern feel to an otherwise all-antique table. We love it as an easy way to add chic function without feeling overly fussy or competing with a lot of color or pattern play.
Keep Calm and Sip On: Just like the lucite pieces, the Carrie Collections adds modern form and function with the perfect amount of shade. They are the perfect compliment to keep your tabletop from becoming too busy. Since this is a traditional feel, we blended in a slender Gloria champagne flute for the important holiday toast.
Velvet: What really locks this tabletop into the Fall/Winter category is the crushed velvet linen, napkins, and Mila chairs. Most of our patterns are made to shine in any season, so knowing the importance of the right accessory can help transition you from Spring to Autumn, naturally.

Ginori Cipria and Pervinca
We like to think of this POSH Pick as a cornucopia of color. Ginori Oriente Italica is one of our top requests year after year for its endless appeal and brilliant colors. But it’s the hand-painted design that especially calls to us: The “a Garofanoof” floral motif on the Ginori Oriente Italian is the classic carnation—a flower of love, devotion, and commitment. A hit for weddings no doubt, but it’s the sentiment of deep affection that seems to grow each time you set a holiday table with this inspiring design that really gives us all the feels.
Cipria (peach) and Pervinca (light blue) get along like old friends. Undoubtedly opposites in some ways, they pull out each other’s similar shades/strengths so well the table wouldn’t be the same without both. Rounding out the edges is a golden glow with sunset shades from our newest Copper Charges, Rose and Orange Carrie glassware, and a warm hug from Midcentury Wishbone Chair. We love how these colors feel like the morning and evening of late Fall, and early Winter days.

Hosting Turkey Dinner
As an added note, if you are hosting and don't have all of the service pieces you need, we also have a rental for that. From turkey domes to chafing dishes, our catering side has just as many bells and whistles as the pretty place setting, including Silver pieces and Jan Barboglio Chafers. Explore all of your options under the SERVICE and KITCHEN tabs in our Catalogue.
Reimagine the Reset
We know it seems self-evident, but the concept of the perfect Fall Autumn tablescape lies heavily in the tones and textures of your rental selections. If you have a personal china pattern at home you'd like to use, choose a heavier rental charger with an elemental charge, like wood, thick rattan, or metal to serve up those daintier wedding or passed-down heritage patterns. We suggest making an appointment so you can play with patterns. In the meantime, head over to our POSH Picks to see our latest moodboard moments for the present season.
