The holidays are upon us; can you believe it? Tomorrow is already Thanksgiving and before you know it Christmas will be right around the corner and the rush and sparkle of the holiday season will be here and gone before we can take a deep breathe. And that’s why we love the holiday season; it brings colder air and sweater weather, as well as, a certain buzz and hype that surround anything and everything. And before we get too far into the holidays and the best time of year, we are going to start with Thanksgiving!
When we think of the fall season and a Thanksgiving tabletop, we think of warm browns, bronzes, festive prints, warm and bold colors, and leafy or natural décor.
Start with a linen that’s bold and warm! Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and do something that stands out. We love the Crushed Iridescent Satin linen in burgundy for a wonderful luxe and bold base to build upon. For a more classic linen we love the Bengaline Moire Burnished Gold linen.
Create a custom place setting. Whether your style is more luxe or rustic or even just classic and simple, we encourage you all to use your favorite pieces or rent your favorite P.O.S.H. china and chargers to create the ultimate place setting. This Thanksgiving we love the Charles Sadek Exotic Bird and Mottahedeh Tree china, so here are two takes on a place setting using this great fall inspired china! For a luxe setting we love the Metallic Chocolate charger combined with the Exotic Bird china for a va va voom effect. For a classic and always perfect go to, we love the Barcelona Gold charger! Flatware is essential and good flatware is even more essential in our book. A good gold flatware set is something we think everyone should own, but that’s just our opinion! Both the Yamazaki 24 karat flatware and the Gold Lyons flatware are two great options. The Yamazaki is more luxe and unique, but the Gold Lyons is a classic staple. For the stemware, we love the Elise Crystal Cut glasses for the luxe table and for a classic table, the Royal Gold stemware that is so elegant and classic!
Don’t forget the extra touches of decoration! Line the center of the table with leaves or festive décor to really make your table stand out. It is a holiday after all, so you can’t over do it. It is better to be overdressed than underdressed and that goes for tables too!
This year we are thankful for all of you! And we hope that we have inspired you to make your Thanksgiving table as fabulous as you are. What are you thankful for this year?
