Eloise leaving The Plaza? It only makes sense that she'd head to Brooklyn. |
Don't we all have a fondness for Eloise and her life at The Plaza? Talk about every little girl's dream. Eloise has been turning six every year since 1955 and living it up in the Upper East Side (our kinda girl!). Even though she's not growing up anytime soon, she is developing her hipster sensibilities by moving into the fab Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn. Illustrator Joana Avillez captures the hilarious and very Eloise daily trails in her immortalized youth last month in New York Magazine.
The new illustrations freshen up the history of Eloise without losing any of the pizazz we were used to at The Plaza. At P.O.S.H., we have our own little Eloise, Laurel's pint-size pistol Chloe. Like Eloise, she will be turning six this year, has the same penchant for creating her own fun, had a nickname for everyone she met while staying at The Plaza, and knows all about Brooklyn thanks to Solange Knowles. The new story line reminded us of Eloise-themed decor that Chloe would approve of for a petite buffet and tables. Read all about it and get inspired for your own P.O.S.H.Petite tablescape here.

From left, Chloe tries out the silver Mercedes at Bergdorf's during her first NYC trip last summer. / An Eloise themed buffet is too cute. More images here. / Chloe hanging from the rafters at The Plaza. Just kidding. That's Chloe is her first television commercial, hanging from the monkey bars. |
