An important part of what we do here at P.O.S.H. is getting a good idea of what our clients are like; for instance what their style is and their personality. Just as getting to know our clients and vendors is important, it is also equally important that whomever we work with is comfortable and familiar with our P.O.S.H. team. We want clients and vendors to feel comfortable with us and feel like they can come in and feel right at home!
An important member of that P.O.S.H. team is Kara Farley, our Outside Sales Manager and one of our Sales Stylists. With an extensive knowledge of the event industry and a knack for choosing pieces that create a tabletop to wow anyone, we truly value her opinion and worldly knowledge on just about everything! Kara’s bubbly and outgoing personality makes her a great at helping clients get everything they need for their events and truly getting to know what they want. Her wedding and event experience makes her even more valuable to our clients and vendors because she will make sure everything gets done and better, that it gets done right. With a seamless technique for making everyone’s POSH experience pleasant and fun we took a few minutes to sit down and ask her some questions so you can get to know her better!
What are your favorite pieces at P.O.S.H.?:
The exotic bird plate – it picks up any and every color in the room and really pops
The hand cut crystal charger – it sparkles at night and looks fabulous by candlelight.
Blue and White china – if I could only pick one of our pieces to use at my house, it would be these!
What event that you have helped with is your favorite to date?:
POSH worked with a client recently for a wedding in Gatesville last month – we brought out all our vintage pieces (china, glassware, serving pieces, farmhouse crossback chairs, the whole gamut!) They served everything family style – simple and rustic, everything was absolutely gorgeous!
Favorite part of your job?:
Working onsite with our POSH team the day of an event and seeing everything come together! It is quite a big production we have, but when everything comes together the reward of seeing it all is worth every minute.
What trends are you seeing clients lean toward?:
Rustic meets elegance seems to really be taking off with our clients and vendors! There is something so chic about making a rustic theme elegant, it’s almost whimsical and like out of a fairytale.
Any tips for clients before they come to the showroom?:
My only suggestion is to come in with an open mind. We have so many different beautiful pieces that you might come in and fall in love with something you would have thought you wouldn’t have originally liked. OR if you are set on a direction you want to go already then to come in with that idea in mind and some ideas or pictures!
