Why We Love Baylie Hill of Posh Couture Rentals
We love that Baylie lists puzzles as one of her favorite hobbies because you need that same vision and patience to determine every design paradox in the event industry. With a Hospitality Management degree from DBU and over twelve years in the industry, Baylie has a composed and stylish knack for discerning exactly what a client needs as a Sales Stylist.
Baylie, what are a few of your favorite things?
Favorite POSH piece: Mottahedeh Tobacco Leaf, Caskata Collection, or Coupe Collection – so hard to choose because there is so many options!
Favorite tablescape vibe: I’m usually a sucker for the farm table escape (country girl at heart), but I say when people mix and match for any theme is my favorite because you get that pop.
What inspires you?: Travel! Location always determines the theme of an event, and I love visiting a cool place I’ve never been to before.
What's your best piece of advice when designing your tablescape or place setting? Three things that always come to mind is: 1) Wait until you have selected your caterer/menu for this will help you know which pieces you need. 2) The place setting will only be layered for the pictures and not necessarily for the reception. 3) Start with your foundation (linen/specialty table) and build up from there.
What can you tell us about your experience working with Plan It With Me? Their “dead dog” option always win! (If you don't know what that is, just ask, LOL) I have had a wonderful time working with Kathy on events; she makes it run so smoothly and efficiently, especially in the planning stages.
Anything else we should know about you or Posh? POSH has been setting beautiful tables for all types of celebrations for over fifteen years. We always say it’s more fun to play with your plates, so come in with a blank slate, pattern, or theme in mind, we can come up with a beautiful place setting to fit any budget. Fun fact, POSH has traveled to and decorated almost all 50 states!
