It’s show time! The 2016 Golden Globes kicked off award season in a spectacular fashion, with Hollywood’s biggest stars gracing the red carpet in style. Here at POSH we pay particular attention to the fashion as it often features looks straight from the runway and is sure to inspire choices in color and texture for the rest of the year!
There were a lot of trends apparent on the red carpet this year- Pantone inspired looks in various shades of Rose Quartz, such as Cate Blanchett in a 20’s inspired Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci and Leslie Mann’s glittering design from Monique Lhuillier. Many style watching bloggers pointed to bridal inspiration with several of the stars wearing white- Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton, Golden Globe Winner Taraji P. Henson in Stella McCartney, and Lily James in Marchesa. A number of stars chose Versace- Lady Gaga oozed old Hollywood glamour in a stunning custom made velvet Atelier Versace gown, Jada Pinkett Smith dazzled in flowing emerald green, and Amy Adams was a vision in a bold orange gown.
