Friday evening at the Dallas Museum of Art VIP's, sponsors, art patrons and other luminaries gathered around beautifully constructed wooden banquet tables made specifically per event guru Marin Fiske-Rankin's instructions for a gala dinner celebrating the opening of a momentous exhibition, Jackson Pollock: Blind Spots. A delectable meal from Cassandra Fine Catering was served under a sea of hanging light bulbs after guests had toured the exhibition, described by experts as a "once in a lifetime exhibition," which boasts the largest number of Pollock's black paintings ever assembled.
There was also a members opening featuring the Madmen Swing Band, beautiful bites and drinks. The line to tour the exhibition stretched the length of the museums main long entry space. There is no doubt Pollock has hit Dallas with a bang.
