Founded over 100 years ago by not a man but rather a woman after our own heart, Mildred Mottahedeh [1907 - 2000] had the desire to create fresh and crisp ceramic and Chinese porcelain reproductions to make them accessible to every class. At the time, only the upper echelon of society had the opportunity to bring art and collectibles into their homes. Mrs. Mottahedeh claimed her desire to bring these sophisticated replicas into the American home was akin to bringing Shakespeare into public theaters to be enjoyed and supported by the masses.
