Texture, structure, color: Take a peek at two standout sculptural styles from the always-inspiring Kappa Tablescapes annual event.
When crafting the tablescape, nothing brings out a place setting's poetic nature more than an artfully arranged floral masterpiece rooted in design. Thankfully, we tend to be surrounded by some of the best floral artists and designers in the States. And no, that’s not hyperbole. It was a delight to partner with two of the most aesthetically pleasing tablescapes designed by Kate McLeod Studio and CONCEPTO. Without further adieu.
AN EXQUISITE REBIRTH
Kate McLeod Studio deems her floral artistry as arranged by nature, rooted in design. We couldn’t agree more. This DFW floral artist understands how to elegantly elevate a wedding experience with flawless florals that are nothing short of perfection. Drawing from nature’s harmony, each atmosphere she creates involves innovative techniques and tones.
For the Kappa Tablescapes annual event, her mossy, moody, and magnificent sky-reaching floral arrangement called for an equally stunning place setting. Enter our beautiful Bario dinner plate from Ginori. This subdued sage shad knows how to bring lightness to the darkest textures–a perfect piece for laying the groundwork for this transformational design. Thank you, Kate, for uncovering this Ginori girl’s hidden tablet. It was a delight to share the table with you.

A TOWERING TRANSFORMATION
CONCEPTO lives in all caps. This bespoke, award-winning floral studio has been on the scene for a minute. You’ve likely seen their awe-inspiring designs around town in top interior design studios or your favorite high fashion showroom. Anyone who can play to Schiaparelli is a true artist in our book, so we knew their Kappa Tablescape would be a showstopper.
A towering silhouette of purple lilacs and luscious grapes, plums, and fruits could have simply been sweet, but this regal tablescape has an avant-garde edge. To meet this moment, a place setting of natural textures, smokey tones, and chic cut crystal was called for. Suddenly, a mix of standard pieces became part of an art form. And that is how you tabletop, folks. Thank you, CONCEPTO, for sharing this lesson with us. It was a dream to share the table with you.
